Vardhman Mahaveer Open University was established on 7thNovember, 1987. The institution is regarded as State University and it is also the member of The Association of Indian Universities (AIU). The University has its jurisdiction in the whole of the state of Rajasthan.
The University also has 6 Regional Centres and 24 Study Centres including a study centre in Delhi. However, the University Library has over 75,000 volumes on different disciplines and 75 international and national journals.
